Newsmotion adviser Dale Maharidge and photographer Michael Williamson have worked as a team for more than 25 years, covering the working class in America.
A series of reports with the reporters and photographers who cover low-wage workers, immigrants and at-risk youth, paired with media trainings for these groups through our partner organization, Peoples' Production House.
Dale Maharidge and Michael Williamson won the Pulitzer Prize for non-fiction in 1990 for their book, "And Their Children After Them." They followed the descendants of the Alabama sharecroppers chronicled in James Agee and Walker Evans's book, "Let Us Now Praise Famous Men." (A signed first edition copy of "And Their Children After Them" is a reward on Newsmotion's Kickstarter campaign.)
