What Fell From the Sky

Novelist and journalist Lara Santoro covered the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide for the Christian Science Monitor and Newsweek. During her time there, she found herself increasingly entangled in the lives of top military intelligence officials and slowly she unraveled a story that was too harrowing for her to report. More than a decade later, after the death  Rwanda expert and human rights activist Alison Des Forges (who also suspected this account to be true but died in a plane crash before she could tell it) Lara decided to tell this story.
