Jake Price is an award-winning multimedia journalist, documentary filmmaker, and co-founder of Newsmotion.org whose longform photojournalism chronicles environmental disasters, post-conflict recovery, and grassroots civic resilience.
Jake Price co-founded Newsmotion.org in 2011 to bridge the divide between independent documentary artists, veteran foreign correspondents, and local citizen storytellers around the world.
Following the March 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, Price spent extensive periods in Tōhoku and Fukushima Prefecture producing The Children of Fukushima (featured in HuffPost The WorldPost) and the interactive documentary Unknown Spring, which was selected for the Sundance Institute New Frontier Story Lab and honored by World Press Photo.
At Newsmotion, Price also oversaw collaborative video curation projects including Can 114 Videos Tell One Story About Forced Evictions in Rio? in partnership with WITNESS.
